Johan Birgenius
Musical resumée
Johan Birgenius is an experienced and versatile drummer. His resumée stretches from intense punkrock to free improvisation and slick yachtrock. Educated at Fridhems Folkhögskola and Högskolan för Scen och Musik in Gothenburg Sweden he has a base in western Sweden but works in a much larger area.

Musician at Gothenburg City Theatre in 2009 (the production Hunger, including some acting).
Regularly engaged by Bohuslän Big Band in the production “Jazzparaden.”
Jam host at Nefertiti Jazz Club from 2012–2015.
Musician and substitute musical director in “Symphony of Illusion” at Jacy’z in 2023. Works and records regularly with film music composer Sveinung Nygaard for different national and international productions.
